Lauren Betts is in her final run as a UCLA Bruin. It has been truly special to watch everything she has done with the school. She hit another accolade on Sunday afternoon as she became the all-time leader in blocks for the school. She was at 225 entering the game with only Monique Billings ahead of her at 228. Betts went out and had an absolutely dominating game against Duke with five blocks, putting her at 230 for her UCLA career. As she now sits at top all alone.

Betts is an elite defensive player that affects the game just by being in there. Players do not want to drive when they see her down in the paint. This is a big reason why she is going to be one of the top draft picks at the conclusion of this season. It is very rare to find a player that is going to be a number one option on both offense and defense. Whatever WNBA team gets her is going to be a very lucky team for a long time.

The part that makes this very impressive as well. It only took Betts 98 games in a UCLA uniform to do this. Billings did so in 141 games with UCLA. That just goes to show how dominant Betts truly is and what she has accomplished with UCLA may not be seen again for a long time. This run she is having in her final NCAA tournament is the stuff of legends. As she tries to help lead UCLA to a national championship and end her historic career.

She will definitely get one more game to add some more stats to her final career list. If the Bruins are able to beat either Texas or Michigan they will head to the national championship game. Most likely to have a matchup with UCONN who has dominated every team this year and is undefeated. They will need every ounce of Betts defense if that is the way the cards stack. She would need to play her best defensive game ever as UCLA would be pretty big underdogs in that game.
