Kameron Taylor became another guard that hit the transfer portal that could score the basketball very well. The UNC Asheville guard is coming off of a sophomore season where he scored 18.9 points per game. Doing so on 45.3% shooting from the field. He struggles with his 3-point shot as he shot 4.3 attempts per game and only shot 28.1% on the season. But he is a very athletic player that can easily get to the basket and creates free-throw attempts as well.
TP Latest: Kameron Taylor, 6’7” guard out of UNC Asheville, is entering the Transfer Portal after averaging 18.9 points, 5.0 boards, and 3.0 assists per game. A big guard who produces at a high level, Taylor brings scoring, versatility, and playmaking to the floor.

If UCLA is able to get Skyy Clark and Trent Perry back to their roster. They will have plenty of spacing on the floor if you add in Xavier Booker as well. So a guy like Taylor could be perfect to operate in the paint and making his way to the basket. He operates with a very smooth game and can dribble with either hand being able to break down the defense. At 6’7 he possesses good size and is an above average rebounder.
The positive about Taylor is he is a good defender as well. Which fits the perfect mold for a Mick Cronin type player. Someone that is able to defend and also score the basketball. Taylor looks to take his talents to a bigger school to gain more eyes on him to possibly make the leap to the next level. He is the type of player that you can see UCLA going after as long as the NIL bidding doesn’t get too crazy.
Kameron Taylor is one of my favorite players in the entire transfer portal. The 6’7 guard out of Charlotte NC has the talent to be one of the best players in the transfer portal. 👇

UCLA will need to get creative this offseason. Obviously the first two dominoes they would like to fall early is Perry returning and Clark getting one more year of eligibility. If they’re able to get both of those, that would be a good start to rebuilding this team. As they look to replace 31 points per game that Donovan Dent and Tyler Bilodeau leave behind. Hopefully Eric Dailey Jr. can take another step in a positive direction as well to help absorb some of that.
