Eric Dailey Jr. continues to play his best basketball as a college player. He scored 20 points against UCF which marked his seventh straight game with double-digit points. He was the leading scorer for the team as they came away with a 73-69 win. Moving onto the round of 32 for the second straight season. They will lift to pull off an upset as 4.5-point underdog as they face the UCONN Huskies on Sunday. Dailey Jr. will need to continue his consistent play if that is going to happen.

Dailey Jr. is a talented wing player that can run the floor well and create his own shot. He has a lanky frame and moves well off the dribble. He shot 8-17 on the day for his 20 points. He hit a big 3-pointer late in the game when UCLA was in a bit of a struggle. That helped the team kickstart on offense and finish the game. As the Bruins really struggled late to break the full court press and zone.

UCONN is a much more talented team than UCF. The team will not get looks as easy on offense and they will need to get creative. Things would be much better off if UCLA is able to get Tyler Bilodeau back who leads the team in scoring. His presence on the floor makes things better for the UCLA offense and less congested. There were times late in the game where UCLA struggled to get any spacing and they let UCF creep back into the game.

The Bruins have played really good basketball over the last month and a large part of it is Dailey Jr. clicking on that end. He has shown the ability to be able to score the basketball in college but has shown inconsistency at time. He has been one of the more consistent players on the UCLA roster over the last seven games. Averaging 15 points and eight rebounds. If he can hit those marks against UCONN, that will put the team in good position.
