Brady Dunlap spent his first two seasons of his college career with St. John’s. After not getting much of an opportunity to contribute, he decided to transfer to Saint Louis. Where this past season, he became a sharpshooter for the Billikens helping them space the floor to operate their offense. He shot 45.1% from 3-point range on 3.3 attempts per night. That is his specialty and he doesn’t operate much inside the perimeter.

UCLA was a very good 3-point shooting team in 2025. The issue was that even though they were really good they had a low volume of attempts. Now they lose Tyler Bilodeau who was their most efficient shooter and await Skyy Clark and Trent Perry decisions. If they’re able to get those two back, that would help the offense out a ton. But they will still need more spacing to help the guards attack the paint.
Dunlap is a player that will be coveted due to his shooting. But won’t command a ton of NIL money, so the value could be there to make a run at him. Maybe with more of an opportunity he could expand his game as well in a new offense. At 6’7 he provides good size at a wing position. He showed out well in the NCAA tournament as well hitting three 3-pointers in both games against Georgia and Michigan.

The transfer portal continues to build up with a ton of hype. There are players that are probably out of UCLA‘s reach and there are also players that can contribute immediately for them. NIL will play a big factor in some of these players decisions and where they play next. That could take UCLA out of the running for big names. But, there are players who have smaller value and can still provide the Bruins with points to help absorb the Donovan Dent and Bilodeau losses.
