Angela Dugalić is the top option off of the Bruins bench this season for Cori Close. She is a very smart basketball player that can score the ball and is a very good rebounder. She proved that in the game against Minnesota in the Sweet 16 with a 13 point and 10 rebound double double. Her presence off of the bench gives UCLA an option if someone is struggling, in foul trouble or suffers an injury. She has the experience to step right in and keep the offense and defense chugging along.

Dugalić has two double doubles in the first three games of the NCAA tournament. As the Bruins now march towards the Elite Eight with a matchup versus Duke coming up on Sunday. Dugalić is one of the six seniors on this team set to graduate out at the conclusion of this tournament. She has the possibility to hear her name called in the 2026 WNBA Draft. As she possesses very good size at 6’4 and can move the floor pretty fluidly.
UCLA could make history by having five players drafted in the first round, which would be their entire starting lineup. Dugalić most likely would go in the second round if she was drafted. But that is very possible and that would make six UCLA Bruins WNBA bound. This is the best UCLA women’s team that we have ever seen as they look to win the national championship. Dugalić’s effort off of the bench helps the cause very much.

UCLA after this tournament is set to have a lot of turnovers to this team. It will not be easy to replace the six seniors that are heading out including what Dugalić can bring off of the bench. It cannot be stated enough, how much of a team player she is as well. She watched Gianna Kneepkens come in and take her starting spot, but she never complained about it. All she did was work hard off of the bench and still be a top option for this team in a national championship chase.
