25 game check in Angela Dugalić excelling in bench role after starting the last two seasons for UCLA

Angela Dugalić plays a key role off of the UCLA Bruins bench. She is usually the first one up for Cori Close and has even spot started in a few games. Being a player that can consistently be relied on to be able to keep the engine moving. Whether that is a bench spark plug role or when a player is out with injury. She is always there to answer the call, and UCLA is grateful to have her on the team. Averaging 9.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Doing so on shooting splits of 53.4/37.3/77.4.

Dugalić started her college career at Oregon during the first Covid season. She played very sparingly that season before transferring to UCLA. Where she gradually played more and more. Including 63 starts over the last two seasons before this one. She battled inconsistency scoring the basketball and a change was needed to take UCLA to the next level. But not in a bad way. They moved her to the bench with Gianna Kneepkens and Charlisse Leger-Walker coming in. It has sparked her career for the better.

Dugalić now in her senior season is having the best year of her career. She is now a consistent player and one that can be relied on for the Bruins. She is going to be a player that is going to have a huge role in the Big Ten tournament as well as March Madness. Considering she has starting experience. You never know when she may be called upon to fill a role on any occasion. Such as fatigue or a minor injury.

UCLA is one of the favorites to win a championship this season. Dugalić is part of the top six of the Bruins that will all graduate following March. This team is hoping they can win it all before the run comes to an end. These women have put in so much hard work and are playing elite basketball. Dugalić may not have the accolades as some of the others. But she is a major part in the success that they are having.
