UCLA is continuing to reload after a national championship. The women sent off six players to the WNBA setting a record for draft picks in one draft. While also setting another record for five first round picks. The team now needs to start replacing each of those that left. They have done a really good job in the transfer portal so far and look to keep up the momentum. As they hosted a really good transfer in Addy Brown from Iowa State.

Brown played in only 21 games last season as she battled a lower body injury. But she returned for the stretch run of the Iowa State season. Brown is a player that does it all on the floor. She averaged 11.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game playing a point forward type position for the Cyclones. She has one year of eligibility remaining and would be a really solid piece to add to this UCLA team.

UCLA is starting to put together a good mixture of younger and more veteran players together. Allowing them to have the experience to compete while also growing and developing younger eligibility players. The team has built a good core around returning players Lena Bilić and Sienna Betts who will be sophomores. The team will also get back Timea Gardiner who has played in some big games for the Bruins.

Brown would be another good player to have on this team with experience. Her shooting was a little bit down this past season as she battled injury. But we saw in her freshman and sophomore years that she was able to shoot over 37% from 3-point range on close to four attempts per game. That would go a long way in helping replenish some of the shooting that was lost to the WNBA.
