4. Dante Moore, freshman
Coming into the year, Chip Kelly didn’t want to go to Dante Moore as early as he did, but injuries and poor play from Ethan Garber necessitated it. Then, the five-star freshman played more like a freshman than a five-star.
Through Week 11, Moore is at 1,344 yards while completing 52.0% of his passes for an average of 7.7 yards per attempt with 10 touchdowns to seven interceptions. In UCLA’s Week 11 loss to Arizona State, Colin Schlee had to start at QB due to injuries to both Garbers and Moore.
As a five-star, Moore will be a hot commodity if he enters the portal this offseason, and he’s much more likely to if Kelly is fired.
