3. Gabriel Murphy, redshirt junior

Murphy, along with his brother Grayson, transferred to UCLA from North Texas in 2022. He’s been in college football since 2019, but is technically a redshirt junior and has a year of eligibility left from the pandemic season.

Murphy has been effective on the defensive line, opposite Laiatu Latu and has racked up six sacks this season. In 2022, he only had 1.5, so the big boost in production could be a springboard to the NFL.

If Gabriel leaves for the league, then Grayson, who has three sacks this year, could go with him. The UCLA defensive line could be completely decimated this offseason.
