College Basketball: Week 1 mid-major power rankings for 2023-24

Let’s take a look at some of the teams and the ranking systems used in these mid-major rankings.

What are the five rankings used in these mid-major power rankings?

The following is a list of the rankings that are used to calculate these mid-major power rankings. The use of each of these three ranking systems will help determine the order of the teams in these mid-major power rankings. Due to the small sample size at this time, the order of teams in these rankings will change as the season progresses. However, the teams with the lowest overall point totals in the majority of these bi-weekly rankings will be listed highest in these rankings with the exception of these power rankings due to not having a larger sample size of games. The number of teams ranked will grow to 30 teams eventually as more and more mid-major teams get quality wins over power five conference opponents. The rankings take into account every game played up until 01/11/23.
