UCLA football: 3 bold predictions for the game against Coastal Carolina

UCLA lost their leading rusher from last year’s team but the Bruins look to even have a better rushing game overall this season.

The Bruins lost their top rusher from last season Zach Charbonnet who is currently in the NFL playing for the Seattle Seahawks. However, head coach Chip Kelly convinced Carson Steele to transfer to UCLA from Ball State where he had twelve 100-yard rushing games in his two seasons as a Cardinal.

Also, the Bruins bring back TJ Harden and Keegan Jones who both combined for approximately 650 yards rushing and four touchdowns. UCLA has depth at running back and they will look to make a statement against Coastal Carolina.

No. 1 The UCLA running backs will combine to rush for over 250 yards against the Chanticleers.

Steele will rush for over 150 yards, Harden will rush for just under 75 yards, and Jones will rush for approximately 40 yards against Coastal Carolina. UCLA will do well on the ground against Chanticleer’s defense led by Steele.
