Billy Kilmer (1958-1972): San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, and New Orleans Saints

Kilmer played in the NFL for 18 seasons, from 1961 to 1978. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 1961 NFL Draft, and he also played for the New Orleans Saints and the Washington Redskins.

Kilmer was a productive quarterback in the NFL, and he was a vital part of the Redskins’ teams that reached the Super Bowl in 1972 and 1973. He was a talented quarterback who was able to make plays with his arm and his legs. Kilmer was also a leader on the field, and he was a respected teammate.
