Vs Washington, Oct 6

You might already know the answer to this but let us go over it anyway.

The biggest advantage UCLA has in this game is that it will be played at the Rose Bowl, but considering the Bruins are 0-2 at home this year, well, we can basically throw that “advantage” out the window.

Washington has a few issues they need to solve (QB Jake Browning, primarily), but for the most part, they are a veteran team that has a great coach leading them. They are going to compete for the Pac-12 and possibly a spot in the College Football Playoffs and UCLA cannot compete with them.

With that being said, it seems clear that UCLA will not have a chance in this game.

At California, Oct 13

Just because Cal is 3-0 does not mean that they are an elite team. Consider who they have played and you can see that their record does not tell the entire story.

The Golden Bears’ defense is very good as Justin Wilcox is building a solid squad, but similar to UCLA, their offense has a lot to be desired. Though that could tip the balance toward the Bruins (who could have an explosive defense), the scales tip back toward Cal due to the fact that this game will be played in Berkeley, a place where the Bruins do not have a lot of luck. That actually ight be the biggest factor in determining the outcome of this game.
