UCLA Football: Which of the remaining games can the Bruins win?
The UCLA football team is 0-3 heading into conference play which begins on Friday. Go Joe Bruin looks at the Pac-12 schedule to see where the Bruins can get some wins (if any).
It looks grim. UCLA football is in danger of going winless this season. Yes, that is a bold statement, especially since we are only three games into the season, but UCLA has not really shown us anything to believe otherwise.

Though that notion was popularized on social media, it was supported by Bill Connelly of SB Nation who put together a chart for every FBS team to determine if they can go winless or undefeated.
In his assessment of UCLA, he has the Bruins with a 71% chance of getting only 0-2 wins, a 0% chance of getting 6+ wins and 0% chance of getting 0-1 losses (obviously as they already have three).
Is this possible? Let us look at the Bruins’ opponents and try to determine if Connelly’s number could ring true.
At Colorado, Sept 28 (Friday)
Pac-12 play begins this Friday and this is one of the more important games the Bruins will play this season, mostly because they not only have to set the tone for themselves in-conference but they still need to get the all-important first win.
Can that happen against Colorado? Well, there are many things to consider. First off, this is a Friday night game, which tends to throw a lot of people off. Second, both UCLA and Colorado are coming off of a bye week, which is advantageous for both teams. Third, this is in Boulder, so it is very advantageous for Colorado.
Fourth, UCLA is 0-3 and Colorado is 3-0, the Buffaloes are rolling right now and the Bruins are not. Fifth, UCLA’s opponents are 10-1 while Colorado’s opponents are 1-10. Sixth, The Buffs are an experienced team and the Bruins are young. Seventh… you know what, there are several factors that could determine the outcome of this game, but the issue remains, until we see UCLA make massive improvements, we should expect a lot of “Ls”.
