WIDE RECEIVER

UCLA: Caleb Wilson | 8 catches  126 yards

Fresno State: KeeSean Johnson | 12 catches  207 yards 1 TD

The junior tight end isn’t quite on the same 7.6 catches a game pace he was on during last year’s injury shortened season, but Wilson is still leading the Bruins in receiving yards. He has the ability to explode for a huge game (see games vs Texas A&M and Stanford last year) and a big tight end is always the best friend of a new quarterback. If DTR ends up starting for UCLA on Saturday, a big helping of quick slants and short outs to Wilson would get Thompson-Robinson comfortable in the pocket.

KeeSean Johnson is one of the best receivers in the pass-happy Mountain West Conference and will probably be the best receiver at The Rose Bowl Saturday. Looking to continue his success from last year (77 receptions 1013 yards) Johnson already has 12 catches for 207 yards and a score this year. His 17.3 yards per catch this year would be a career best and makes him a threat to make a big play every time he catches the ball.

ADVANTAGE: Johnson has the height (6’2”) and speed (4.5 40 yard dash) to give the Bruins’ secondary trouble all day long.
