2.Valero Alamo Bowl vs. Big 12

Washington vs West Virginia

With the return of West Virginia quarterback Will Grier and a Top 30 strength of schedule, the Mountaineers have an outside chance of reaching the College Football Playoffs. More likely though is they’ll have enough offensive firepower to outscore most BIG 12 defenses but give up too many big plays to run the table in conference play.

Washington also returns a top quarterback in Jake Browning. Myles Gaskin (1,380 rushing yards) will try to repeat the success had last season while most of the personnel from the eighth-ranked Huskies Defense also returns. Washington should be able to win the PAC-12 North and could easily find themselves in the Rose Bowl. But a matchup of these two high caliber teams would make for a great Alamo Bowl.
