Former UCLA Football player Josh Rosen thinks he will be the most successful quarterback taken out of the four chosen in the top 10 of the 2018 NFL Draft, which may be true long term, but in regards to his rookie season, he is not favored to be the most successful.
Apparently, there were three mistakes taken before former UCLA football QB Josh Rosen was picked 10th overall by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Cleveland made a mistake by taking Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield, the New York Jets made a mistake by taking USC’s Sam Darnold and Buffalo made a mistake by taking Wyoming’s Josh Allen. Apparently.
Though it will be several years before anyone can actually confirm this, for now, all we can do is speculate.

That is exactly what the online betting site Bovada did as they listed their early favorites in categories such as projected starts, odds to win rookie if the year and projected Super Bowl Champions. So far, the odds are not in Rosen’s favor to be the most successful, at least in year one.
According to Bovada, Rosen is projected to have 8.5 starts, fourth among the top QBs taken in the draft. Competition with his rookie peers aside, this seems quite logical considering his new squad, the Arizona Cardinals, have to decide if they will go with the newbie or their already established (though underperforming) quarterback, Sam Bradford.
As far as overall success, Rosen is third among QBs (fourth overall) to win rookie of the year with 10/1 odds. Though they are favorable, Mayfield and Allen have the edge, for now
College is a much different game than the NFL and several of these top picks could either thrive, be “just average” or fall into oblivion, especially if the team around them cannot put their young players in a position to succeed (which is one reason why these teams had high draft picks to begin with).

If Rosen wants to be the best, he has to elevate his team from his position. There is no doubt he is a great talent and has the tools to succeed, but success comes from the collective effort. Hopefully things fall into place for the young QB during his time in the desert.
