UCLA Football Recruiting weekly update (1/22) – commits, offers and official visits

Go Joe Bruin takes a look at the week that was (1/15-1/22) in UCLA football recruiting, including the newest commitments, the most recent scholarship offers and the latest information on official visits.

With National Signing Day less than a month away, the UCLA football team is making a lot of moves as Chip Kelly and his staff continue to assemble their team.

In the last week, UCLA has received a commitment, given out multiple offers and set up several officials visits. Here is what has gone down with UCLA football recruiting for the week of january 15-22.

3* ATH (RB/CB) Patrick Jolly – Shortly after his official visit, Jolly gave his pledge to the Bruins. The former UCF commit has great speed and the skills needed to fit in a Kelly football team, though he projects to play on the defensive side of the ball. Go Joe Bruin Analysis

New Offers

2018 3* ATH Patrick Jolly, 6’1″, 177 lbs. (Offered on Jan. 16)

Jolly was offered, officially visited and committed to UCLA in less than a week. The Kelly era is already moving

2018 3* WR Delon Hurt, 6’0″, 190 lbs. (Offered Jan. 20)

Hurt decommitted form Utah after he received an offer from UCLA, a program he has been favoring for a while.

2018 3* CB Elisha Guidry, 6’0″, 177 lbs., (Offered Jan. 21)

UCLA offered a Bruin legacy, who could very well be leaning toward Westwood.

2019 3* ATH Joshua Calvert, 6’3″, 220 lbs. (Offered Jan. 16)

The Bruins offered brother of signed 2018 LB Bo Calvert. Like his brother, Joshua looks to play on the defensive side, specifically the outside linebacker position.
