It’s that time of the week again. A new UCLA B-Team episode just became available for download. Nathan, Chavito and Hanna continue to bring you news and discussions on all things Bruin including UCLA Football.

The episode kicks off in gloomy fashion as the guys discuss what happened to the UCLA Football team, especially the defense, against the Arizona Wildcats last Saturday during the 47-30 loss in the desert. The guys focused on the defense initially.

The defense for both Hanna and Chavito was too patient and allowed the Wildcats to attack and the Bruins react rather than the other way around. It is a common theme this season against teams that have gone heavy in their use of the read-option.

This discussion only begged the question “How good is Arizona QB Khalil Tate?”. He’s run wild in his past two outings and has given the Wildcats new life and was unstoppable against the UCLA Football offense. Chavito compares Tate to another former PAC-12 QB who might spark a few memories.

The UCLA Football offense was also a major topic of discussion as Bruin QB Josh Rosen threw three interceptions and the offense as a whole was unable to consistently drive downfield. Was the offense, including Rosen, pressing too hard to make plays happen?

Then each of the three hosts offered up their own thoughts on how the season shapes up as the Bruins enter the meatier portion of their schedule. Needing three more games to become bowl eligible, UCLA needs to go .500 in their last six games of the season. But can they? What are the winnable games?

We also took a quick look at Oregon and if the Bruins can rebound this weekend from an embarrassing loss in the desert.

In another fun exercise each of the guys admitted what they have gotten the most wrong about the conference and the Bruins halfway through the season. Make sure to let us know if you were wrong on any of these as well.

Wrapping up the episode, each host offered up a few names they’d love to target as dream coaches should head coach Jim Mora be fired after the season. Not saying he will be but “what if?”. Nathan and Hanna offered up a few realistic names while Chavito seemed to be dealing in pure fantasy.

Make sure you check in every week during the season as we recap games and talk about all things UCLA.
