The 2017 NBA Draft is still 3 days away and several former UCLA Basketball players could have their name called, but where exactly will they go? Several mock drafts give their takes.

It seems that at least three former UCLA Basketball players will be hearing their names called at the 2017 NBA Draft on Thursday. Lonzo Ball, TJ Leaf and Ike Anigbogu (all freshmen last season) are expected to not only be taken in the draft, but all three seem to be first rounders.

UCLA could also have a few other former players taken in the draft. One-and-done power forward Jonah Bolden has recently had his name pop up in a few mock drafts. Graduating seniors Bryce Alford and Isaac Hamilton might also be lucky enough to get selected, but we will not know any of this until Thursday.

So where are these former Bruins expected to land? Go Joe Bruin looks at a handful of mock NBA Drafts to see if we can find some consistency.

One thing is for sure, the consensus is that Lonzo Ball should be taken by the Los Angeles Lakers. That might have solidified over the weekend when the Philadelphia 76ers (who had the #3 pick), traded up to the Boston Celtics (who had the #1). The reason was that Philly really wants Markelle Fultz.

Why did this concern Ball? As the rumor mill spins, it was believed that Lakers’ President of Basketball Operations, Magic Johnson, was “in love” with Fultz and willing to trade for the #1 pick, leaving Lonzo bound for somewhere that is not Los Angeles.

Still, it seems like a match made in heaven and Ball will most likely be in purple and gold next season.

As for the rest of the former Bruins, it is anyone’s guess. Leaf and Anigbogu seem to be hovering around being selected in the early 20’s. In the mock drafts that have projected the 2nd round, many outlets have Bolden going mid-round. Unfortunately, I have yet to see one mock draft listing Alford or Hamilton.
