Former UCLA Football player Takkarist McKinley was selected 26th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft and Twitter — especially Bruin fans — had a lot to say about it.

How does the saying go? Oh yeah, “BOOM!” That is right, DE Takkarist McKinley has fulfilled his promise to his grandmother and made it to the big time as the former UCLA Football player was taken in the first round by the Atlanta Falcons. So yeah, “BOOM!”

Let us just say this, everything about Takk’s moment was gold. From his reaction to his speech to his soon-to-be first NFL fine, everything about his time in the spotlight was (blue and) gold.

But Takk was not alone in his joy. There were a lot of people that were behind the future Hall of Famer on social media. Yeah, I wrote it.
