WR Jordan Payton

At UCLA Jordan Payton was the clear go to target. The same cannot be said for his time with the Cleveland Browns thus far. In his first NFL game, Payton was nowhere to be seen and in fact seemed to be passed up by fellow rookies Ricardo Louis and Rashard Higgins.

Payton did get into the game but with 2:13 left in the fourth quarter. On the one play he was in, his quarterback, former USC Trojan Cody Kessler, was sacked for a safety. Not a fantastic debut for either player.

The Browns, despite drafting three receivers, still don’t have the best depth at the position and Payton should receive more playing time as preseason continues but will have to continue working hard to impress the coaches.
