UCLA Football: Jim Mora is “Beyond Reproach” on PMS

UCLA Coach Jim Mora joined the Petros and Money show on AM570 LA Sports Radio this afternoon and reaffirmed his commitment to UCLA Football.

After a week of rumors swirling around regarding UCLA Football coach Jim Mora and the possibility of him heading back to the NFL, the Bruin coach went on the Petros and Money show Thursday afternoon to bring light to the subject.

Mora also had the chance to address what might be going on with his coaching staff, especially Offensive Coordinator Noel Mazzone who had been reported to be heading to Texas A&M.

During the interview Mora addressed:

  • He has no current interest in the NFL, and his commitment to the Bruins has been “demonstrated beyond reproach”.
  • Staff changes (including the rumors that the Mazzone’s are moving to Texas) are still unconfirmed, but UCLA will have a “much improved football staff and a much improved football team next year.
  • He is disappointed and frustrated with the 8-5 record. He felt going into the season, the UCLA defense would be hard to score on and the all the injuries piled up.
  • Josh Rosen is a “generational” quarterback
  • Rosen DID have to knock on the Mora’s door when he visited after the UCLA loss.
