The Bruins have a solid core consisting of guards Bryce Alford and Isaac Hamilton and center/forward Tony Parker. Last year, UCLA had depth at forward and center and will improve this season with the maturation of Gyorgy Goloman and Thomas Welsh and newcomers Alex Olesinki and Ikenna Okwarabizie.

The issue with depth last year was in the Bruin’s back court. That changes with the addition of freshman Aaron Holiday and Prince Ali.

The Bruins have the talent, but will it be enough to successfully maneuver through a treacherous schedule that includes games against Gonzaga, Kentucky, North Carolina and Arizona (twice)? It will definitely prepare them for the post-season, but what many Bruin fans want to see is if this team can improve from last year (UCLA went 19-12, 11-7 in the regular season), especially in the win column.
