2014-15 was definitely a season to learn from. Though the post-season will forever be remembered, the regular season was a bit forgettable. The UCLA Women’s Basketball team started with a bang in a 92-54 blowout of Westmont in their exhibition game, but then lost four straight to start the season.
The Bruins were both consistent at winning and losing. UCLA would rattle off 2-4 game win streaks, but then follow it up with a losing streak of similar value, which essentially kept them at .500 all season long. It also did not help hat they lost to every ranked team they played (11 in all).
UCLA had a few blowouts, but they were to teams that deserved to be blown out. This was not a strong Bruin team to start, but they proved that they could finish, and coming off a WNIT Championship, the Bruins want to use that momentum to go confidently into this new season.
