With the 46th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the Milwaukee Bucks select UCLA’s Norman Powell. Powell is the second Bruin to be taken in this year’s draft as teammate Kevon Looney was selected 30th by the Golden State Warriors.

UCLA Bruins
What else can you say about Powell other than he is a leader, he is athletic, is great on defense and has phenomenal dunking abilities. After four years with UCLA basketball, Powell has made his mark in Westwood and now taking his talents to Wisconsin.
In the last two seasons, Powell was able to develop his skills and become one of the go-to guys in head coach Steve Alford‘s uptempo offense.
Last season, Powell was first on the Bruins in scoring with 16.4 ppg and had the most rebounds per game amongst all Bruin guards with 4.7.
To top it off, he also led UCLA with 1.8 steals per game. In the last two years, Powell was a Pac-12 All-Defense Team Honorable Mention. Not only can this guy hustle, but he gets results.

Milwaukee is stacked with guards right now, which means he will most likely see time coming off the bench, but with some development, Powell could be the future of the Bucks. His explosiveness is something that could help Milwaukee immediately, but in time he could also be a key contributor on defense.
Congratulations Norman Powell, you are now a Milwaukee Buck!
