The second seed is the Ole Miss Rebels (30-26) out of a deep SEC this year. The Rebels stand out in the LA Regional field as a team that relies on its offense to win games.

Their pitching staff ERA is 4.44, good for 144th best in the country. Sophomore Brady Bramlett, junior Christian Trent, and senior Scott Weathersby (a converted reliever) make up the patchwork rotation.

The offense is led by senior 1B Sikes Orvis (about as southern a name as I can imagine!), who led the SEC in home runs this year with 16.

Beyond Orvis, though, the Rebels’ offense is just average.

UCLA is 4-3 all time against Ole Miss, having last played in 2007.
