The Upside
You want to be impressed with Odighizuwa, just look at him. Every scouting report starts with what a good looking athlete he is. His combine scores are impressive as well; according to NFL.com, Owa was a “Top Performer” in every drill. He plays with a lot of energy, he is good against the run, and he rushes the passer with enthusiasm. Based on all of that, Odighizuwa should be able to contribute in either a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme.
The Improvements Needed
More from nfl draft
- UCLA Football: 10 Bruins that could be selected in the 2020 NFL Draft
- UCLA Football: The Bruins’ disappointing 2019 NFL Draft
- UCLA Football: Four Bruins have signed as undrafted free agents
- UCLA Football: Caleb Wilson is the final pick in 2019 NFL Draft

Although he rushes the passer enthusiastically, his skill level is relatively low compared to other top prospects. He will need to improve his technique and prove himself on outside and inside moves if he wants to avoid being pigeon holed as a run-specialist. Also, he needs to prove his durability based on his injury riddled college career.
Final Analysis
Odighizuwa has been rumored into the 1st round, but all the mock drafts have him in the 2nd. In the end he has all the tools to be a quality pro if he can keep growing as a player and stay healthy.
