Bracket busted yet? You are not alone. As it does every year, the 2015 NCAA Tournament has continued the hopes of several teams and their fans as well deflated those of the losing teams. Because of that, it has wrecked the brackets of millions of basketball fans… and it is only Day 1.

Midwest Region

#11 Texas 48 – #6 Butler 56
#14 Northeastern 65 – #3 Notre Dame 69
Not a lot of surprise here. Kentucky rolled while Butler and Notre Dame needed a little extra to beat their opponents. Cincinnati and Purdue on the other hand, took there game to the wire the Bearcats were down by seven very late in the game and forced overtime where it was still neck dn neck, yet Cincinnati persevered.

West Region

#13 Harvard 65 – #4 North Carolina 67
#11 Ole Miss 57 – #6 Xavier 76
#14 Georgia State 57 – #3 Baylor 56
#10 Ohio State 75 – #7 VCU 72 OT
#15 Texas Southern 72 – #2 Arizona 93
The West Region got a big surprise with Georgia State taking out Baylor while Arkansas and North Carolina had a scare themselves with a couple of upstart teams. Xavier and Arizona wrecked the respective teams while Ohio State’s freshmen D’Angelo Russell scored 28 despite bleeding from his head due to an elbow.

South Region

#13 Eastern Washington 74 – #4 Georgetown 84
#14 UAB 60 – #3 Iowa State 59
#11 UCLA 60 – #6 SMU 59
The biggest upsets so far are between two teams that have already met in in a tournament this season. UCLA and UAB shocked their opponent and will meet on Saturday. Utah was able to handle a lesser Stephen F. Austin while Georgetown throttled Eastern Washington.

East Region
#16 Lafayette 52 – #1 Villanova 93
#9 LSU 65 – #8 NC State 66
The east had the fewest games as most like take place tomorrow. Villanova destroyed Lafayette as expected while NC State needed a last second tip-in that won the game for them with 0.1 seconds left.
