National Signing Day: UCLA Inks Aaron Holiday And Prince Ali
If you did not know, yesterday was the first day of the early signing period for the 2015 class and UCLA basketball has secured the commitments from both Aaron Holiday and Prince Ali. With these two future Bruins signing their National Letter of Intent, head coach Steve Alford locks in two 4-star guards for next season on National Signing Day. Seeing as the Bruins are a bit thin in the back court, there presence and talents will be immediately felt.

Holiday is the younger brother of former UCLA guard and current New Orleans Pelican Jrue Holiday. The four-star recruit out of Campbell Hall High School in North Hollywood is the #5 point guard in the nation and will bring some balance to the up-tempo system that Alford has implemented since getting to Westwood. As Alford puts it, “Aaron is a very talented player who we know will really help our backcourt next season”. Help seems like an understatement as the Bruins only have four scholarship players this season.
Ali is the 10th nationally ranked shooting guard out of Sagemont Upper School in Weston, Florida. His commitment was a huge get for the Bruins as they instantly added depth and talent to a their roster. At the least, Norman Powell will be leaving the Bruins after this season due to graduation, so locking-up two guards was essential for this class.
Hopefully Alford can land a few more bodies before the start of next season. So far, the Bruins have five-star Lonzo Ball and three-star high-flyer Kobe Parras.
Go Bruins!
