2. UCLA

Boy, oh boy, did Thursday evening “sound like boom”. With a 62-27 thrashing of then ranked 15th Arizona State, UCLA put themselves back in the national title hunt. No team has ever posted more points than those 62 in Sun Devil Stadium, and I doubt any player aside from UCLA’s Ishmael Adams has returned a both an interception and a kickoff for a touchdown. With Brett Hundley returning to Heisman-like form (5TDs), Paul Perkins fronting the rushing attack, and the defense stepping up when needed, this UCLA squad is bound to go far.
