The Trojans had lead 5-4 at halftime, but Paul Reynolds, Chris Fahlsing, Cristiano Mirachi and a two-goal second-half performance by Danny McClintick gave the Bruins the lead and eventual win. USC had several chances, especial with a few power plays, but the Bruins were able to hold them off and limit the Trojans to only two second half goals. With this win, UCLA strikes first in the Crosstown Cup.
