2. UCLA

When Brett Hundley hyper-extended his left (non-throwing) elbow, UCLA fans held their breath, hoping he would return to the game and keep UCLA afloat as they battled the Texas Longhorns, a team with backup quarterback Tyrone Swoops under center. Brett Hundley did not return, and things looked bleak, but Jerry Neuheisel came to save the day. UCLA’s backup passed for over 170 yards with two touchdowns, none more important than the 33 yard go-ahead pass to Jordan Payton. Neuheisel was not picked off, and finished the game with an astounding QB rating of 148.5. The Bruins finally played their most complete game this season, moving the ball and holding Texas to 17 points. Hopefully the “Gutty Little Bruins” have found themselves, and their success going forward.
