Today, ESPN released a Top 10 list of the best court designs in college basketball. The floor that your UCLA Bruins play on was fourth on that list amid a fine group of schools that have very several classic and classy designs. Without going over board as some schools have done in recent years *cough*cough*Oregon*cough*cough* these ten courts give a simple yet bold presentation to their game experience.

The Bruins could have had the #1 spot. As Eamonn Brennan, the author of the piece, said in regards to the floor, he preferred the old jump circle that had “UCLA” imprinted on both sides of a blue ring with stars in between. Brennan would rather have that than the current script logo, mainly for the old jump circle’s “retro” nature. Still, he like it enough to make it the fourth best in college basketball. The good thing about the new jump area is that the script looks aesthetically pleasing with the blue frame around the court. It pops.
Here is the rest of the Top 10: 1. Indiana, 2. North Carolina, 3. Utah, 4. UCLA, 5. Arizona, 6. Yennessee, 7. Vanderbilt, 8. Maryland, 9. SMU, 10. Iowa
In other Pauley Pavilion floor news, the court is turning out great and will be reading for the first ball game of the season on Friday, October 31 as the Bruins host Azusa Pacific in an exhibition game.
