  • 1. #2 Oregon (2-0) 46 vs #7 Michigan State 27

So it looks like Oregon has finally become the team everyone has expected them to be as their high-powered offense was finally able to take down a defensive juggernaut and smash them into Top 10 oblivion. Losing 24-18 at halftime, the Ducks showed they had an overwhelming defense of their own as they shut out the Spartans in the second half to score 28 unanswered points.

    2. Washington (2-0) 59 vs Eastern Washington 52

The Huskies fought with one of the best FCS schools in the country in a back and forth battle that has not really solidified a solid start for first year coach Chris Petersen. Winning is one thing, but not dominating

    3. Oregon State (2-0) 38 vs Hawai’i 30

Talk about not having a strong start, Oregon State, one of the most dangerous teams throughout he air last year, is also showing that they are continuing to underachieve after letting Hawai’i back. With the game supposedly in hand, the Rainbow warriors scored  23 unanswered fourth quarter points to give the Beavers a right scare as a strong start was cancelled out by a weak finish.

    4. Cal (2-0) 55 vs Sacramento State 14

After unexpectedly beating Northwestern last week, the Golden Bears destroyed Sac St., a game that many thought would be Cal’s only win. Cal QB Jared Goff tallied 510 passing yards and 7 touchdowns in the win.

    5. #15 Stanford (1-1, 0-1) 10 vs #14 USC 13

Uncharacteristic mistakes brought the Cardinal to their knees as the were stopped by the tough Trojan defense. Stanford seemed to cough up the ball on several series that would have not only given them then lead , but a big one at that. Two turnovers, 2 field goals and a slew of penalties caused this loss.

    6. Washington State (0-2) 13 vs Nevada 24

Same old Washington State. If they do not fix the defense, Mike “The Pirate” Leach will be walking the plank very soon.

    SOUTH DIVISON

    1. #9 USC (2-0, 1-0) 13 vs #13 Stanford 10

Special teams won this game as kicker Andei Heidari nailed a 53-yard FG at the end of the game to seal the win for the Trojans. What was thought to be a high-powered offense was exposed by the rugged Cardinal defense. After being named Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Fresno State, QB Cody Kessler could only manage 135 passing yards and no touchdowns.

    2. #12 UCLA (2-0) 42 vs Memphis 35

The Bruin offense and defense traded identities as the Brett Hundley lead a charge behind 396 passing yards whilst the defense had no answer for the Memphis offense. UCLA gave up 469 yards to the Tigers.

    3. #16 Arizona State (2-0) 58 vs New Mexico 23

The Sun Devils are making a case for repressing as South Division winners. ASU put up 621 yards behind a 216 yard rushing performance by running back D.J. Foster. Quarterback Taylor Kelly added 192 passing yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.

    4. Utah (2-0) 59 vs Fresno State 27

This is definitely the direction the Utes want to go. After smacking around Fresno State 59-27, Utah currently ranks #1 in the Pac-12 in points for, totaling 115, whilst only giving up 41. QB Travis Wilson threw for 181 yards and five touchdowns.

    More from Pac-12

    5. Arizona (2-0) 26 vs UTSA 23

What turned out to be a tougher match-up than expected, the Wildcats barely escaped the confines of the Alamodome as the Roadrunners kept taking it to Arizona and had one final chance to march down the field, but found the effort lost as a interception ended UTSA’s hopes of an upset.

    6. Colorado (1-1) 41 vs UMass 38

Did anyone see this game? What turned out to be a back-and-forth battle between to lower tiered programs ended in a fight to the finish. The Buffaloes turned things around this week as QB Sefo Liufau threw for 318 yards and three touchdowns.
