Isaac Hamilton Enrolls at UCLA

facebooktwitterreddit

After Isaac Hamilton spurned UCLA a few months back for UTEP, the 6’5″ off-guard had a change of heart and has now enrolled at UCLA.

This is a pretty enormous get for UCLA given how talented Hamilton is. There are important things to consider but the team with the most weapons fares better.

Hamilton had expressed interest in leaving UTEP and the only thing left was to make a decision as to where he was going. The talented wing had his top two choices boiled down to UCLA this past spring and chose Tim Floyd’s program.

Of course, this saga is long from over. Hamilton signed an NLI and will need to rally hard to get out of it. As was the case with UCLA football freshman Eddie Vanderdoes, Hamilton risks losing a year of eligibility should UTEP and Floyd (former head coach at USC prior to the university dismissing him for violations) decide not to let Hamilton off the hook. We’re not sure where UTEP is leaning but it’s going to be quite the decision. Luckily for UCLA, UTEP doesn’t play the Bruins which increases the likelihood that the staff in El Paso is lenient.

For now, enjoy the new weapon, Bruins
