Cori Close is a very good college coach and she understands what it takes to win. With March continuing to get deeper. She knows that her lineup rotations cannot go as deep anymore. In the game against Minnesota, it was mainly a six-player rotation. Most of the season we have seen eight and nine players play for most of the games. But now these matchups are going to get tighter and tighter, and the six seniors have separated themselves as the main go to players.

With a matchup set on Sunday afternoon against Duke, you can expect those six players to play the majority of the minutes. If they need a seventh player to go with foul trouble or injuries, Sienna Betts or Lena Bilić becomes that player, depending on the matchup. The UCLA starters have been very good this season and Angela Dugalić is playing a very productive role off of the bench for the Bruins.
Duke is a very talented team with a good back court and is led by Toby Fournier in the front court who can score the basketball very well. Lauren Betts we’ll have her biggest challenge ahead as she looks to contain that matchup and prove why she’s one of the best players in the nation. If she is able to do that UCLA should easily be able to win this match up and move into the Final Four again.

The six-player rotation worked out very well against Minnesota and should be the recipe for success again against Duke. The players have been well rested for a majority of the season. It also cannot be stated enough how much of a relief it was that UCLA did not have to travel for their first two games of the tournament. They saved themselves travel and time to rest and get fully healthy. These women are ready to roll and take on this Elite Eight matchup.
