UCLA stayed in-state to grab a top 2027 corner in Juju Johnson. The No. 11 ranked player in the state of California and the No. 3 ranked corner. Just a day after grabbing another top corner in Jerry Outhouse Jr. UCLA is building a very good 2027 class that 247sports now has ranked as the No. 4 class. Bob Chesney and his staff is putting together a defense that has the potential to be dominant in the future.

Johnson is another big-time addition that has the ability to start for multiple years at the program. While also being able to have an impact early on as a freshman. He is 5’11 and 170 pounds so he will have the ability to add to his frame. But he can flat out fly straight line speed and will be good as a coverage corner because of it. He is another player that also does track and field and excels in the 100- and 200-meter dashes by using his quick acceleration and strides.
Playing at Long Beach Poly allows him to gain great experience against other players that are division one bound. He also has offers from top schools like Oklahoma, Miami and Alabama. Continuing an impressive showing that UCLA is able to get top recruits from playoff schools. Signaling that the Bruins will not be pushed around on the recruiting trail anymore.

Obviously, there is a ton of time before signing day, but a commitment is a huge deal. Now they get to see Johnson play his senior year at Long Beach Poly and only continue to get better and better. He missed his junior season due to an injury. So, he looks to make a statement in his senior season as he looks to get college ready after graduating in 2027.
