UCLA continues to roll. As they easily dispatched the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Sunday night. Winning 83-61 and picking up another top 25 win to add to their impressive resume. One that includes the toughest strength of schedule in the nation, with their only blemish coming against No. 2 Texas. A game on which they did not play well but still had an opportunity to win. The Bruins now sit at 15-1 on the season. But still sit at No. 4 due to UCONN, Texas and South Carolina continuing to win.

The Bruins continue to play at a high-level defensively. They held Nebraska to 38% shooting on the night and 33% from 3-point range. They’re playing with tenacity and communicating well in all facets. Consistently holding teams to under 40% shooting. The more you do that, the more likely you are to win games. They also used that tough defense to be able to force 17 turnovers on the night. Which outweighed their careless mistakes with 16 turnovers of their own.

Lauren Betts continued her dominant streak as she posted another double double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. She is playing her best basketball of the season as she has gotten healthier from her early season injury. UCLA is dominating teams in the paint this season. They continued that on Sunday night by scoring 40 in the paint. Holding Nebraska to only 26 points of their own. +14 paint points on a nightly basis will always have a big impact on the box score. As they are the easiest points you can get in close range.

All five Bruins starters scored in double digits. Sienna Betts came off the bench with 12 points of her own. While Gianna Kneepkens continues to show why she might be the best 3-point shooter in the nation. She has shot at least 50% from deep in 10 of her last 12 games on close to six attempts per game. The Bruins will now play Minnesota, who are coming off an upset win of USC and might be creeping on the top 25. Then are setup for another top 10 showdown as they face Maryland.
