UCLA came away with another end-to-end win as the beat Oregon 80-59 on Saturday afternoon. Lauren Betts had her best game of the season as she dropped 24 points and 14 rebounds on the day. A good follow up game to have after she has seen her name drop on 2026 WNBA mock drafts. She is clearly one of the most talented players in the nation. The Bruins will need her to bounce back from her injury scare that may have been hampering her game. This team is March ready and probably will be their best chance they will ever get to win it all.

UCLA did struggle from the field as they had a shooting line of 43/32/62. Not ideal for their offense with so many talented players that can score the ball. But sometimes games are going to be grind it out and it gives you a chance to show off your defense. UCLA was able to hold Oregon to only shooting 33% from the field and 27% from the 3-point line. That is showing good communication of the defensive end as they forced Oregon into tough looks since the opening jump.
DPOY makes offense a little easier, too! 👌

The stat that really stood out and has all season is the rebound battle which UCLA was able to win 52-29. Along with Betts, the Bruins have great rebounders at all positions. They consistently win their matchups and crash the glass. Kiki Rice is one of the best rebounding guards in the nation averaging 7.3 per game. Angela Dugalic also provides a great presence off the bench rebounding the ball as she had nine on the day. Charlisse Leger-Walker struggled from the field only shooting 1-5 for two points but her 10 rebounds were huge on the day.

The Bruins will get a nice nine day break before they play their next game against Cal Poly. A game that UCLA should be highly favored in to move to 10-1 on the season. This is a team that is on a mission, and they will need all the rest they can get for Big Ten matchups this season.
