UCLA was able to pick up a 73-57 win on Wednesday night over the Oregon Ducks. Moving to 15-6 on the season as we close them on the last 10 games of the season. The Bruins are now on a three game-winning streak after their little skid that they went on. One of those wins being against No. 4 Purdue, which they hope will be the turning point of this season for the team. Oregon has not been a very good team this season. Sitting at 8-13 now and have struggled for any consistency. But UCLA plays who the schedule makers put in their way.

The positive about this game. The Bruins are now playing their basketball. Earlier in the year they would play down to their opponent. That is a progression that they have made. Keep their foot on the pedal as long as there is time on the clock. Don’t let teams creep back into games that should not be close. The team continues to play great defense that has been their staple for winning on this three-game winning streak. They held the Ducks to 36% shooting on the night and 9-32 from 3-point range.

UCLA was led by Tyler Bilodeau on the night as he scored 18 points. They also were able to get a double double out of Eric Dailey Jr. who had 14 points and 11 rebounds. Donovan Dent had 15 points and Trent Perry who continues to start with Skye Clark out had 12 points. The Bruins shot 40% on the night, which isn’t elite but were able to connect on 39% from deep. They also improved their free-throw shooting as they were 87% on the night. That has been something they have struggled at for consistency this season.

The Bruins will now take their three-game winning streak into their last January matchup. They will face 14-7 Indiana on January 31st at home. As they look to move to 16-6 on the season and pick up a solid win there. They will need to continue to keep up their defensive effort. It is also a game where there will be a lot of fun. The school is set to welcome new football head coach Bob Chesney. Let’s have some fun and walk out with a win!
