For many years the UCLA Bruins have had attendance issues. From mediocre results on the field and a far drive from the UCLA campus, it has been a multitude of things. Declining attendance has continued over the years and there seems to be no end in sight. As UCLA explores trying to move out of the Rose Bowl and closer to the campus.

A lawsuit was filed against UCLA who has a lease at the Rose Bowl until the year 2044. The lawsuit claiming that the school is looking to break the lease with reports of moving to SoFi stadium in Inglewood. Yes, the drive is closer but what is a stadium of Sofi going to do to counteract what is being done at the Rose Bowl? The answer is nothing.
The Rose Bowl is an historic stadium that has a lot of tradition. The tailgates on the golf course are always a hit and the walk into the stadium staring off into the San Gabriel mountains will bring chills each time. Here is the thing; declining attendance was never an issue regardless of UCLA's record. The stadium would be packed with 90,000 fans when UCLA was a 5-5 team fighting for an appearance in the Emerald Bowl in the early 2000's.

Prices have skyrocketed, the traffic is abysmal to get in and out and 247 Sports ranked them as priciest in the nation for hot dogs and parking. Basically, pricing out a family looking to go to a gameday. This leads people to search out alternatives in a state that includes so many amenities such as Disneyland.
So, no moving stadiums will not help attendance issues. The Chargers and Rams have trouble filling the seats with their fans. Mainly being fans from other teams. Fix the prices, incentivize people to go to games and stop prioritizing getting every dollar that you can for every little thing. Fill seats with UCLA fans again, it has been done before and can be done again.
