The UCLA Bruins are one of, if not the most, historically significant program in NCAA Tournament history. They will look to add to that legacy this year as they have made the 2025 NCAA Tournament as a seventh seed in the Midwest region.

The Bruins ended their first regular season in the Big 10 conference in 6th place with an overall record of 22-10 and a conference record of 13-7. They lost in the Big 10 conference tournament to the Wisconsin Badgers but had a strong enough resume to get an at-large bid to the big dance.

They missed the tournament in 2024 but were in it in the three years preceding last season, making the Final Four in 2021. Before making the Final Four in 2021, the previous deep tournament runs were in the years from 2006 to 2008, where they made the National Championship in 2006 and the Final Four in both 2007 and 2008.

Of course, UCLA is well known for their incredible successes in the 60s and 70s where they won 10 National Championships in a 12-year span from 1964-1975.

They are now led by junior forward Tyler Bilodeau, who averages 13.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. At the start of the regular season, they were ranked 22nd in the country and got to as high as 15th in the nation back in early January.

They match up in the NCAA Tournament against Utah State, who is the 10 seed in the Midwest region. Utah State ended the regular season with a 26-7 overall record and a 15-5 conference record.
