UCLA will play their 28th game of the season on Tuesday. As they welcome in their crosstown rivals in USC. The team will look to get a win and move to 19-9 on the season. Inching themselves closer to try and get to that 20-win mark. Which should be good enough to get them into the NCAA tournament. This will be a big matchup along with Minnesota right after it. As the Bruins will hopefully be able to take care of business and win both games. Before a matchup with No. 9 Nebraska.

UCLA will look to continue their quad 1 wins. Which is a very important metric when it comes down to NCAA tournament hopes. They’re currently 3-7 in that quad after their upset win over Illinois on Saturday night. UCLA has been hit or missed this year as a team. But when it has mattered most against Purdue and Illinois. The Bruins have dug deep and been able to get wins to save their season. Those were two gigantic upsets for this team.

Now the goal is to continue to find consistency and start a run from that electric win. USC is also 18-9 on the season, although in a much different way than UCLA is. The Trojans are only 7-9 in Big Ten play and 2-6 in quad 1 play. While being 7-1 in quad 2. USC will be put in the same position UCLA was against Illinois. Basically in a make-or-break mode when it comes to the NCAA tournament. These two teams will match up two times in the last four games, with each getting a home game.

USC can score the basketball well with Chad Baker-Mazara and Ezra Ausar. Now with Alijah Arenas back and him doing really well. They look to make a late season push. Even with their best player Rodney Rice out for the season. As he was only able to play six games before his injury. There is nothing like a crosstown rivalry game. Both teams will be looking to come out with a win and move to 19-9. With the other going to 18-10.
