UCLA went into Sunday afternoon with another top 10 matchup on deck. This time they were at home against No. 8 Iowa, with a chance to move to 21-1. They were able to do just that as they made easy work of the Hawkeyes with an 88-65 victory. Each game that goes by UCLA seems to get better and better. No matter what is in their way they continue to blow out their opponents. Proving to be one of the top two teams in the nation. With only UCONN being better than them. The two could be on a crash course to meet in March.

The Bruins were able to get back on track by shooting 6-12 from 3-point range. They had struggled the last few games by not being able to connect on long-distance shots. But it was only a matter of time before they started hitting them again. The defense had another really good game as they played with good communication and put Iowa in some tough positions. As the Hawkeyes shot 5-20 from 3-point range and didn’t get many open looks.
Lauren Betts came into the game questionable to play. But ended up starting and had a great day with 16 points on 8-11 shooting. Kiki Rice had 17 points and 7 assists controlling the game well from the beginning. But the star of the day came off the bench in Angela Dugalić as she had 22 points on 9-13 shooting from the floor. Leading the way for the Bruins to shoot 58% from the floor on the day.
Have yourself a night, Angela 🤩💫

UCLA now sitting at 21-1 on the season will head into a matchup with Rutgers on Wednesday. They are on a 15 game-winning streak and are making easy work of opponents. Their loan blemish continues to be the Texas game; in a game the women wish they had back for a rematch. Once UCLA gets done with the Rutgers game, they will prepare for another top 10 matchup with Michigan. This is the season the women look to cap it all with a championship.
