Sienna Betts looks set to make her season debut for the Bruins against Cal Poly. Betts has not played yet this season. She committed to UCLA and was the second rated prospect in the country. It helped that her sister is star forward Lauren Betts, which led to UCLA being able to sign her. She will be a good building block for when this group of seniors graduates. UCLA has been rolling this season to a 9-1 record. But they are about to add to their core even more.
A UCLA Athletics spokesperson told @ocregister that Sienna Betts was “ramping up, and making good progress over the last week.”

Add in coach Cori Close teasing last week that Betts could make her UCLA debut Tuesday against Cal Poly — and it may be time.https://t.co/c26fIxleJy
Cori Close will have many options to play around with rotations. As Angela Dugalić and Lena Bilić have both stepped up this year as well. UCLA can score the basketball with some of the best teams in the country. They also have really good defense that can help them neutralize high-powered offenses. Their lone blemish on their record was against Texas who also beat South Carolina. So, the top four has played back and forth matches against each other. With the exception of UCONN destroying everyone in their path.
Sienna attended Grandview High School in Aurora, Colorado and put up monster numbers her senior season. To the tune of 23 points, 16.5 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 3.4 blocks and 2.3 steals. Truly was putting up video game numbers on a nightly basis. Similar to her sister she can be an anchor on offense and defense for a team. She can casually be integrated into the team chemistry. But there is no doubt that she is going to be a welcome addition to the Bruins as her ceiling is very high.

UCLA figures to be a large favorite against Cal Poly. They will not need to play their starters many minutes to be able to run away with this game. That will give Betts an opportunity to slowly work back in. They will also play against Long Beach State later in the week that will be another opportunity for her to get some minutes if she plays. As the Bruins should be able to easily go 2-0 this week without much trouble. Welcome back Sienna!
