UCLA has one loss on the season and that happened earlier in the year against Texas and a non-conference tournament. It was a game that the Bruins played very poorly in and battled a Lauren Betts injury. Since then, UCLA has gone on a 29-game winning streak and now sit in the Final Four. They await the winner of the Michigan and Texas game that plays today. Could UCLA get their chance at revenge? That remains to be seen if Texas can win.

Point guard Rori Harmon was crucial in the victory.
“Down the stretch, Rori showed why she’s the best point guard in the country,” head coach Vic Schaefer said.

UCLA played both Texas and Michigan this season. They were both very good games as well. When UCLA played Michigan, it seemed like they had the game wrapped up but Michigan hung around and almost tied it late. UCLA was up in that game by nine points and gave up six quick points before two missed free throws gave Michigan a tying look. The Bruins ultimately escaped that game 69-66.
That is the closest game that UCLA has had since the Texas game. So, you figure regardless, who wins this Michigan and Texas game. The Final Four should be a great game for whoever UCLA faces. You just know that the Bruins would love to get their revenge on Texas in March though. Because without that game, UCLA would be sitting with an undefeated season right now at 36-0.

Regardless of how things play out, the common goal is to win. Doesn’t matter who the women face up against they want to win a national championship. If they get through the Final Four with a win. They will most likely have a rematch with UCONN, who dismantled them in the 2025 Final Four. With the top six players graduating out to the WNBA in 2026, nothing would be sweeter than to see these women hoist that trophy.
