The UCLA women’s team holds its position ranked No. 4 in the nation for the second straight week. As they sit at 9-1 on the season and have dominated all of their opponents outside of their loss to Texas. The three teams sitting in front of them are UCONN, Texas and South Carolina, while LSU is right behind them. That is five teams vying for a national title and one bracket will have multiple teams in it come March. The Bruins look better than ever but it is going to take some huge wins if they want to hoist a banner this season.

UCONN and Texas are playing outstanding basketball as both are undefeated. South Carolina’s one loss came to Texas. Texas also beat UCLA, so having two top four wins on their record is big time. They also just beat No. 13 Baylor by 35. In mostly any season they would be the best team in the country. But that is just UCONN and their dominance for you. They just continue rolling season after season, bringing in new players as current players graduate out.
The Bruins who made the Final Four last season before losing to UCONN, look even better than that team. That could be due to bringing in Gianna Kneepkens who has been the perfect addition. She spaces the floor and has fit right in as if she’s played with the team for three years. You couldn’t ask for a better graduate transfer this past off season. This team is all in before this group graduates and takes their talents to the WNBA.
Threepkens keeps the hits coming 👌

UCLA has two home games this week versus Cal Poly and Long Beach State. The Bruins will be heavy favorites in both games. They will most likely be 11-1 by Sunday before they head back into Big Ten play. No. 21 Ohio State is on the schedule for next week. Kicking off the rest of the season where it is all Big Ten opponents until the end of the regular season. They will see many more ranked opponents and the team seems up for the challenge ahead.
