Kyle Philips had a great 2021 season for the Bruins that led to him entering his name into the draft following that season. Philips was a great route runner and was best when operating out of the slot. He ran much faster than his 4.58 40-yard dash time let on. Using long strides and being very smooth in and out of his breaks. He had tremendous footwork and looked like he could mold into a role similar to guys like Julian Edelman.
Philips finished his junior season with 59 catches for 739 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was also a very dangerous, punt, returner, and one of the best in the nation. Only being used when the Bruins needed a big play. He had nine punt returns for 203 yards and a touchdown. His 22.6 yards per return is one of the highest averages we have ever seen in a season. Displaying his ability to change the game as a slot receiver or as a punt returner. He had very godd wiggle and a center of gravity that allowed him to navigate through defenders and either juke or break tackles. Allowing him to pick up more yards with the ball in his hands.
Make that 3️⃣7️⃣ unanswered points for the Bruins after Kyle Philips takes this punt return 82 yards to the house!

Philips had four games with at least two touchdown receptions. One of his most impressive ones came against LSU where he broke two tackles and tiptoed down the sidelines for a touchdown. His best game came against Stanford, a game in which UCLA won. He had five catches for 120 yards and two touchdowns. Becoming the number one target for Dorian Thompson-Robinson on a 7-4 Bruins team.

Philips was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the 5th round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He displayed his skills immediately off the bat with the Titans. Helping their passing game as well as their return game. Unfortunately after 2022 he would battle many injuries hampering him. He won a Super Bowl ring last season as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad. Philips was most recently on the Las Vegas Raiders practice squad and is looking to latch onto an active roster.
