Jordan Lasley had a dominating 2017 season for the UCLA Bruins. He only played in nine games but had 69 catches for 1,264 yards and nine touchdowns. That was good for 140.4 yards per game. He turned that season into being an NFL Draft pick. Going in the 5th round to the Baltimore Ravens. Lasley also averaged 18.3 yards per catch and being a reliable target for quarterback Josh Rosen. Jim Mora coached the first 11 games of the season before being relieved of his duties and Jeff Fisch took over for one game and then the bowl game.

Lasley had good size at the receiver position as he was 6’1 and 213 pounds. He ran a 4.5 40-yard dash, displaying good speed and stride. He was strong enough to battle for the ball or fast enough to get to the second level. Even despite a three-game suspension in the 2017 season, he led the PAC-12 in receiving yards. Leading to believe if he played those three games, he would be well over 1,500 yards for the year. His 2017 season was special.
Lasley spent a few seasons on practice squads for some NFL teams before heading to the XFL, Canadian Football League and USFL for a few stops. He is still very active with football as he has shown to train with 1 on 1 and group training. It is awesome to see he can still spread his knowledge of the game to younger ones. Not many receivers can say they had a 2017 season like he did. His 431-yard two game performance against USC and California are the most in school history over two games.

In seven of the nine games that season he had at least 100 receiving yards. The more incredible feat is the lowest total he had in a game with 62 yards. He still scored a touchdown in that game as well. There were not many corners who could line up with him one on one even with safeties over the top defenses struggled. It is a very underrated season in UCLA history.
